PCR cabinet are designed to reduce the risk of contamination while performing Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) experiments, it direct HEPA-filtered air downward over the work area to provide ISO Class 5 (formerly Class 100) conditions and protect your work during preparatory procedures and amplifications.

PCR Cabinet

PCR cabinet adopts vertical laminar flow technology, providing clean airflow through HEPA high efficiency filter to prevent outside contamination from entering the experimental area. The bench is equipped with a UV sterilization lamp, which can effectively eliminate residual DNA and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

FAQ:

1. Difference between dead-air PCR cabinet and Scitek PCR cabinets?

Dead-air PCR cabinet are non-ventilated enclosure with dead-air inside the work zone. Scitek PCR cabinets provide HEPA-filtered vertical laminar airflow to the work zone.


2. Can PCR cabinet be used when working with microorganism?

No. PCR cabinets do not provide user protection and cannot be used with infectious materials. These are mainly used for Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) experiments, such as PCR master mix and reagent preparation and amplification


3. Difference between Scitek vertical laminar flow cabinet and PCR cabinet?

Both vertical laminar flow cabinets and PCR cabinets provide ISO Class 5 (formerly Class 100) conditions in the work zone for the sample protection. PCR cabinet have standard shelves with IV bar for more convenience of PCR preparation and amplification work.
