Safety system
Audible and visible alarm: high and low temperature & sensor error alarm.
Multiple protection functions: frequent start-up protection, refrigeration system keeps running in case of sensor failure.
Transfer Samples: Transfer all samples to a spare refrigerator or a dry ice/ice container for temporary storage. Never leave samples out of a low-temperature environment for an extended period.
Disconnect Power: Unplug the power cord to ensure safety.
Empty the Refrigerator: Remove all removable parts, such as shelves, drawers, and dividers. Leave the refrigerator door open to allow the ice to warm up and melt naturally.
Lay absorbent towels or a waterproof sheet on the floor and around the refrigerator to prevent water from spreading.
Depending on the thickness of the frost, this usually takes 4–12 hours (ultra-low temperature freezers may take longer). You can gently rinse the interior with warm water (never use hot water) to speed up the thawing process.
Dry thoroughly: Use a clean towel or absorbent cloth to dry the interior walls, door gaskets, and any standing water on the floor. Residual moisture will quickly refreeze.
Clean and disinfect: Wipe the interior with a neutral detergent or 70% alcohol, then dry it thoroughly. Be sure to avoid electrical components and ventilation vents.
Reinstall components: Wipe the shelves, drawers, and other parts dry before returning them to their original positions.
Restart the unit: Plug it back in and wait until the temperature drops to the set value before returning the samples (this usually takes 2–4 hours).
