To help customers resolve operational issues encountered during actual use, SCITEK’s engineering team recently traveled to Kazakhstan to provide on-site technical support. This two-day on-site technical service addressed configuration and operational issues the customer encountered while using a gas chromatograph.
This service was not merely equipment operation training; rather, it involved making targeted adjustments to the existing equipment configuration based on the client’s actual monitoring needs. By assisting with the establishment of calibration curves and completing sample testing and validation, the team ensured that the client could independently and properly use the equipment to conduct subsequent analytical work.
During actual use, the customer discovered that the existing equipment configuration could not meet the requirement for conducting multiple testing projects simultaneously. Upon arriving on-site, SCITEK engineers first assessed the customer’s testing needs. They then inspected and evaluated the equipment’s current configuration.
Based on the actual application conditions, the engineers made targeted adjustments to the equipment. A compact column oven was installed to enable analysis under the appropriate temperature conditions for different testing requirements.
By adjusting the equipment configuration and optimizing the temperature control scheme, the gas chromatograph was better aligned with the customer’s existing testing workflow.
After completing the equipment configuration and adjustments, SCITEK engineers further assist customers in developing calibration curves.
Based on the customer’s testing requirements, the engineers provide on-site guidance on the testing process for standard samples. This includes key steps such as sample preparation, instrument parameter setup, sample injection, and data analysis.
By collecting data through actual testing and guiding the customer in establishing the standard curve, the customer gains a deeper understanding of the relationship between the instrument’s analytical data and the concentration of the target substance. This also lays the foundation for subsequent quantitative analysis.
To ensure customers truly master how to use the equipment, this service also placed a strong emphasis on systematic training in gas chromatograph operation.
SCITEK engineers conducted on-site demonstrations based on the customers’ actual analysis workflows. Customers followed the engineers step-by-step to complete the operations. Starting with instrument startup and pre-operation checks, the on-site demonstrations and guidance proceeded step-by-step according to the actual analysis workflow, covering:
Instrument startup and pre-operation checks
Analysis methods and parameter settings
Sample preparation and injection procedures
Chromatographic analysis workflow
Viewing test data
Use of calibration curves
Precautions during testing
During the training, engineers did not limit themselves to theoretical explanations but instead combined on-site demonstrations with hands-on practice, enabling customers to independently complete sample testing following the full testing workflow.
After customers completed the actual sample testing and successfully obtained valid analytical results, the engineers further verified the operational procedures and test results. This approach maximized support for customers in resolving any practical issues that might arise during use.
This two-day on-site service in Kazakhstan covered multiple stages. From equipment configuration adjustments to the establishment of calibration curves and actual sample testing, SCITEK engineers provided technical support throughout the entire process.
Through on-site engineering support, SCITEK not only resolved compatibility issues between the customer’s existing configuration and actual testing requirements but also helped the customer gain a deeper understanding of the standard operating procedures for gas chromatographs and basic analytical methods.
For laboratory analytical equipment, delivery is not the end of the service. Equipment can only realize its full value when it is truly tailored to the customer’s application scenarios and helps users obtain reliable test results.
SCITEK continues to provide global customers with end-to-end technical services ranging from equipment installation and commissioning to application support, on-site modifications, and operator training. Through our team of professional engineers and on-site technical support, we help customers quickly resolve practical application issues, providing continuous and reliable technical support for daily laboratory testing and scientific research.
